Leicester City have had an undisclosed bid for Brazilian forward Eduardo Sasha rejected, according to Radio Guacha and as quoted by the Leicester Mercury.

Sasha has been linked with a Premier League move in the past, with the Daily Star reporting in April that Manchester United and Arsenal were thought to be interested in making an offer for the 24 year old.

Leicester are looking to bolster their squad ahead of next season, where they will be seeking not only to maintain their Premier League crown against England’s reinvigorated elite, but also to compete on another front in the Champions League.

The Foxes will go into the tournament for the first time in their history as top seeds, due to UEFA’s ruling of last year that domestic champions were to be seeded accordingly.

And combined with the need to bolster in depth, the threat of losing key players like Riyad Mahrez mean Ranieri is keen to invest his playing staff for the new campaign.

Mahrez has been linked with a move to Arsenal by numerous outlets, with the Star the last to quote that talks had taken place between the Foxes and the Gunners over the Algerian,

Eduardo Sasha has been at Internacional since 2010, spending some time on loan at Goias, before returning to the Inter first team and making quite an impression this term, scoring 6 goals in 16 appearances.

Leicester may well find they will have to stump up more than they would like due to ownership issues over the Brazilian, as Inter only own 60 per cent of his economic rights, with investor Delcir Sonda owning 10 per cent and the rest being owned by the player himself.

The Leicester Mercury quote that the club may have to fork up as much as £15 million if they want to sign Sasha.
