Lallana has impressed for England so far throughout Euro 2016.
Former England star Peter Beardsley has told 888sport that Liverpool midfielder Adam Lallana has been "outstanding" for the Three Lions so far in Euro 2016 and says that the 28-year-old reminds him of himself.
Lallana's impressive form for Liverpool this season was rewarded with a call-up to this summer's tournament, and he has continued in the same vein for his country.
The winger started all three of the Three Lions' group games as England progressed to the last 16 and appears to be one of the first names on the teamsheet for Roy Hodgson's side.
Ex-England midfielder Jamie Redknapp said earlier this week that he has been impressed with the way that Lallana has developed into a quality international player, and Beardsley seems to agree.
The former Newcastle and England star named the Liverpool man as the player who has stood out for him at the tournament so far, and suggested that he could see similarities between Lallana's game and his own.
Beardsley, speaking exclusively to 888sport, said: "Lallana would be the one for me who has been outstanding. He is similar to the way I played with how he moves the ball and creates goals.
"I really like his energy and his enthusiasm in getting the ball back. Dier has done well but overall Lallana has been our best player and I see a lot of myself in him."
Lallana will be hoping to get the opportunity to continue to impress when England take on Iceland in their last-16 match on Monday night.
