Leeds United are due to return to pre-season training next week.
Leeds’ squad is due to return to training next week, as the Yorkshire side begin to step up their preparations for the new season.
When Monk took charge, Leeds were behind with their scheduling for pre-season.
Leeds had no friendlies arranged, and there were barely any coaching staff in place at Elland Road.
However, things have moved quickly since Monk took charge of the Whites with a host of backroom staff joining and Leeds starting to schedule some friendly matches.
Leeds are planning to go on a tour of Ireland, while they have also arranged a non-competitive match with Peterborough United in July.
And Monk said: “For the last two or three weeks I’ve been making sure that we’re all prepared, we’re all organised and everything’s ready so that the players can hit the ground running when they step back in.
“We want it to be organised and clear for them with the plan that I have. “We’ll get to work straight away. We’re looking forward to it and hopefully the players will all come back in good condition.
“We’ll use pre-season to get them at their peak and get that knowledge into them and this different way of working which I have.”
Monk is yet to add any new players to Leeds’ squad, but new arrivals are expected to sign up before the start of pre-season.
Leeds are closing in on a deal for Marcus Antonsson, while they have also been linked with both Kemar Roofe and Ashley Fletcher.
