New Everton shareholder Farhad Moshiri is determined to make a marquee signing at Everton this summer, reports the Liverpool Echo.

The Blues secured their new manager last week as Ronald Koeman’s move from Southampton was completed.

The Dutchman has reportedly been lured to Goodison Park with the offer of a huge transfer budget that will also be supplemented by any potential player sales.

The Blues paid a big compensation fee for Koeman as they look to kick start a new era financed by Moshiri’s millions.

The Iranian has big plans for the club after buying into it earlier this year, with desires to see them ultimately become a Champions League club.

And according to the Liverpool Echo, that plan will start this summer as their majority shareholder is determined to make the Premier League take notice with a marquee signing.

Everton are yet to make a senior signing this summer, but the newspaper believes that the club is working on a couple of high profile transfers as a statement of their intent.

The Toffees are willing to offer big wages to attract top talent to Merseyside as they seek to become a Premier League powerhouse in the years to come.
