Bournemouth are lining up a move for Le Havre forward Lys Mousset, HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club.

Mousset is highly-regarded at Le Havre having come through the ranks at the club.

The 20-year-old only broke into the Le Havre first term last season, scoring 14 goals in 28 games as they just missed out on promotion to Ligue One.

A number of clubs across Europe have been alerted to Mousset's potential and Bournemouth have been keeping tabs on his progress for the whole of last season.

The likes of Sevilla, Torino and Bristol City have been credited with an interest in Mousset, but Bournemouth are hoping to steal a march on their rivals by setting up a deal for the Frenchman.

Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe has made striking reinforcements one of his top priorities this summer and he sees Mousset as one of the future.

Bournemouth have so far only signed USA international Emerson Hyndman on a free transfer from Fulham and Howe wants to make more additions as he plans ahead for next season.

Le Havre have a good record in producing their own players having seen the likes of Riyad Mahrez and Dimitri Payet come through their youth system.
