Wigan Athletic and Rotherham United are battling to sign Aberdeen winger Jonny Hayes, HITC Sport understands.
A number of Championship and League One clubs have expressed an interest in the 28-year-old, who has been playing in Scotland since 2009 when he joined Inverness Caledonian Thistle from Leicester - having started his career with Reading.
Hayes moved across Northern Scotland to join Aberdeen in 2012 and has been a regular ever since signing on at Pittodrie.

Now despite having a couple of years left on his current deal which he signed in 2014 - but the Dublin-born wide-man will be allowed to leave, if as expected Aberdeen's valuation of the player is met.
Ipswich Town , Nottingham Forest and newly promoted Burton have been linked, but HITC Sport understands that it is Wigan and Rotherham who are heading the queue and hope to do a deal before the start of July.
Rangers have also been linked, but it is understood the player would like another crack at English football.
