New Leeds manager Garry Monk
Leeds United manager Garry Monk has sent a message to supporters on Twitter ahead of the new Championship campaign.
The Whites moved to appoint former Swansea boss Monk as Steve Evans' replacement earlier this month, with Massimo Cellino looking to finally appoint a manager for the long-term.
Monk is still getting settled in to life at Elland Road, and today he was handed the fixture list for his first season as Leeds manager.
Leeds face a trip to Queens Park Rangers on the opening day of the season, before home games against Birmingham City and Fulham - and the will close out the season with a trip to Wigan Athletic.
After the fixtures were released earlier today, Monk took to Twitter in order to send a message to Leeds fans ahead of the new season.
Monk stated that he is planning for an 'exciting season' at Elland Road, and admitted he, his staff and his players are ready for the challenge ahead of them.
After seasons of chaos and underachievement under a host of different managers, Monk must now attempt to bring some stability to Elland Road, and hopefully mount a push for promotion.
With a strong start to the season, Monk can bring a feel-good factor back to Leeds, and with the right signings this summer, this really could be the exciting season Monk spoke of in his tweet.
How do you think Leeds will fare under Monk?
