Crystal Palace manager Alan Pardew has told the Daily Mail that he thinks Kyle Walker is the best full back at Euro 2016, whilst also praising team-mate Danny Rose.

It's been a strange tournament for England. A solid performance against Russia only generated one point after conceding a late equaliser, whilst they had to come from a goal down to beat Wales 2-1 with a late Daniel Sturridge winner.

Monday's 0-0 draw with Slovakia has intensified the pressure on England and manager Roy Hodgson, with next Monday's last 16 clash with Iceland now huge as the Three Lions look to get their campaign up and running.

There hasn't been much to shout about for England so far, but the performances of Tottenham full backs Kyle Walker and Danny Rose have certainly caught the eye.

The Spurs duo have been England's top attacking outlets down the flanks, offering great energy, driving runs and decent deliveries into the box, whilst also defending solidly too.

Having impressed for Tottenham in the Premier League last season too, Walker and Rose appear to be at the peak of their respective powers - and they have now been praised by Crystal Palace manager Alan Pardew.

Pardew, speaking to the Daily Mail, suggested that whilst both Walker and Rose are still new to the international stage, they have 'all the ingredients' that a modern day full back needs.

Pardew added that he thinks Walker is the best full back at the tournament, and is backing him to make a huge impact against Iceland having been left out against Slovakia on Monday.

"Kyle Walker and Danny Rose are inexperienced at this level but they are both fast, direct, dynamic, fit and energetic going both ways," said Pardew. "Yes, the final ball can improve but Walker was such a threat, smart in possession with bags of power and drive. They have all the ingredients of the modern attacking full back."

"I have a good feeling about these two. They look confident and threatening with the ball, but they have done their defensive work, too. Both have put a shift in and have got back into their defensive shape when needed. Walker is probably the best full back in the tournament. I expect to see him come back roaring after his night off," he added.
