According to reports from Tutto Mercato Web, Sevilla are currently eyeing a move for Manchester City striker Ruben Sobrino.
City usually tend to spend huge amounts of money to sign world class players and as a result it was very surprising to see the Premier League club acquire the services of little known Ruben Sobrino last season.
Sobrino arrived at the Etihad Stadium from Ponferradina for a fee believed to be in the region of around £350,000 and many wondered at the time if the striker would get any playing action on the pitch at City.
Unsurprisingly, Sobrino was immediately farmed out on loan by manager Manuel Pellegrini to Spanish Segunda Division side Girona on a season long loan deal soon after his arrival to England.
The 24-year-old did well during his time at Montilivi and as a result he has been able to attract the interest from a host of La Liga sides this summer.
Now according to reports from Tutto Mercato Web, it has been claimed that Europa League champions Sevilla are considering a move for Sobrino.
Sevilla recently appointed Jorge Sampaoli as their manager and the 56-year-old is believed to be looking to strengthen his attacking line-up with recruitment of the former Real Madrid striker.
Along with Sevilla, the likes of Deportivo La Coruña and Real Bétis are also said to be considering a move for Sobrino.
