Galatasaray's Wesley Sneijder looks dejected
The Toffees appointed Koeman as their new manager last week, and the former Southampton boss must now get to work on revamping the Everton squad.
Thanks to new investor Farhad Moshiri, Koeman will have plenty of money to spend on new signings, and fans are expecting some ambitious, big-name arrivals ahead of the new Premier League season.
Now, they're being linked with a huge name, as Haberler report that Everton have an interest in finally bringing Galatasaray star Wesley Sneijder to the Premier League.
The 32-year-old, who won the Champions League with the Inter Milan in 2010, has long been linked with a move to England whilst playing for the likes of Ajax, Real Madrid, Inter Milan and now Galatasaray.
Dutch playmaker Sneijder has hit 40 goals and 27 assists for Galatasaray since his January 2013 move from Inter Milan, and the 129-cap Dutch international is now being touted for a possible reunion with Koeman at Goodison Park.
Sneijder and Koeman worked together at Ajax during the early 2000's, with the playmaker making his name under the new Everton boss before eventually earning a huge move to Real Madrid.
With Sneijder's time at the top winding down, this may his last shot at a move to the Premier League, and he's the kind of big-name, marquee arrival that Everton could be looking for this summer.
The Turkish press believe that Sneijder could be bought for just £5.75m, and whilst his wages will no doubt be huge, a reunion with Koeman could bring the best out of him and give him the chance to be part of the new era for Everton this summer.
