Celtic are expected to invest heavily in their squad this summer.
Rodgers is likely to be backed with funds in the upcoming transfer window, as he aims to bolster his squad at Parkhead.
So far, the Northern Irish manager’s only moves in the transfer market have been to allow players to leave, but Lennon believes that is only a matter of time before Rodgers makes his first signing.
"I think he’ll add," Lennon said to the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast on TalkSPORT. "I think he’ll be looking for a centre forward and he’ll certainly be backed. I think Celtic will be really strong going into the season."
Celtic have already allowed Anthony Stokes, Colin Kazim-Richards and Carlton Cole to depart this summer.
The trio’s exit clears room for additions to be made, with a host of players already linked.
Celtic are reportedly interested in Liverpool duo Joe Gomez and Andre Wisdom, with Rodgers aiming to strengthen in both defence and attack this summer.
Rodgers is expected to have a lot more funds to spend than his predecessor, Ronny Deila, as the Bhoys aim to fend off the challenge from Rangers and claim their sixth consecutive Scottish Premiership title next term.
