Jonas Gutierrez has taken to social networking site Twitter to give his backing to Newcastle United manager Rafael Benitez.

Newcastle got relegated from the Premier League at the end of the 2015-16 campaign and will feature in the Championship next season.

Benitez will be in charge of the Magpies next season, and the Spaniard will be hoping to guide the team back to the top flight of English football.

Newcastle are one of the biggest clubs of England and will be one of the favourites to finish in the top two of the Championship next season.

However, Benitez’s side will not find it easy, as the Championship is a very tough and competitive league.

Much will depend on the players that the Spaniard signs in the summer transfer window.

For Newcastle to get automatic promotion back to the Premier League, they will need to make a strong start to the 2016-17 Championship campaign.
