Manchester United assistant manager Ryan Giggs celebrates after winning the FA Cup
Stuart Pearce has told HITC Sport that he believes Ryan Giggs should stay put at Manchester United and learn from Jose Mourinho.
Giggs is currently one of the bookies favourites to land the Nottingham Forest job, listed at 5/2 with SkyBet.

Pearce is full of admiration for his former club but is not convinced Giggs should leave Old Trafford, where he has worked as an assistant, for the City Ground.
The former England under-21 boss was speaking to HITC Sport as an ambassador for Carlsberg’s ‘If Carlsberg Did Substitutions’ UEFA EURO 2016 campaign.
Pearce said: "It's a wonderful club there's no doubt about that, but if I were to give any advice at all I'd say to Ryan, consult with Mourinho, find out what his plans are for him and if humanly possible stay a couple of years and learn from Mourinho.
"I don't think Ryan should be in any rush to get a manager's job at the moment. To have the opportunity like Ryan has to work with Fergie, Van Gaal and then Mourinho will be invaluable experience going forward for him."
New Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho in the stands before the match
Jose Mourinho was appointed by Manchester United at the end of last month, and is yet to confirm Giggs' role at the club.
The former Chelsea, Real Madrid, Inter Milan and Porto boss is likely to want to bring in his own staff, but may yet find a role for Giggs.
The question lies whether the former Wales international will like what Mourinho is offering him or not, and decides instead to go it alone and begin his managerial career, at Forest or elsewhere.
