The first of those was a super strike to beat Romania in the opening game, while he also added a late second in the victory over Albania.
Aside from his goals, his general play has been superb, as he has established himself as the key man in Didier Deschamps’ side. Reid has been impressed, saying he hopes that his Hammers teammate can continue this fine form next season.
“I saw the opening game and he was really, really good in that game and came up with a brilliant goal at the end,” he told whufc.com.
“I didn’t see the second game, but I heard he got another goal and played a part in France’s other goal. He’s had an unbelievable twelve months and hopefully he can carry on with that form.”

While Reid is hoping that Payet can continue his fine form, West Ham will secretly be wishing he wasn’t starring in France.
His performances have not gone unnoticed this summer, with the big European clubs sure to be alerted to him this summer.
Indeed, there has already been talk that Real Madrid are monitoring him, via the Telegraph, and should he keep starring then a bid could be on its way.
