The defender will be coming up against several Liverpool colleagues on Monday.
England take on Slovakia in their final game of Group B at Euro 2016 later today looking to build on their win over Wales. A victory guarantees the Three Lions top spot in the group, and more importantly a better draw in the knockout stages.
Skrtel will come up against several of his Liverpool teammates in the game, with Daniel Sturridge, James Milner, Jordan Henderson, Adam Lallana and Nathaniel Clyne all part of Roy Hodgson’s squad.
And he has warned them that there will no friendships on the pitch, insisting that he will kick Sturridge if needed.
“We can be friends before and after the game. On the pitch, there are no friends,” he told Sky Sports.
"If you asked Daniel, he'd answer the same. We try and do the best for the team. If that means having to kick him, then yes. Of course!”
It remains to be seen how many of his Reds colleagues that Skrtel finds himself up against on Monday evening.
Hodgson is expected to make as many as six changes for the game, and that could see the likes of Clyne, Henderson and Sturridge all coming in.
If that does happen, Skrtel will be hoping to come out on top in a battle with Sturridge, who will be flying high following his late winner against Wales.
