Sunderland are said to be interested in signing Roma striker Edin Dzeko.
According to a report in The Sun, Roma want £15 million for Sunderland target Edin Dzeko.
The Black Cats have reportedly made an £11 million bid for the Bosnian international, but Roma have not accepted that offer.
At the moment reports are conflicting. Some publications have suggested that Dzeko has already rejected a move to Sunderland, but The Sun have not ruled out the North East side’s chance of signing the striker.
The tabloid claim that Sunderland will need to pay £15 million to have a chance of bringing Dzeko to the Stadium of Light.
Dzeko would be a high profile addition for Sunderland, as they plan to start pushing up the Premier League table.
Sam Allardyce is expected to have a large amount of funds to spend this summer, to ensure that Sunderland’s squad has the quality required to avoid a relegation battle next term.
Dzeko’s previous experience of English football came, when he was part of Manchester City’s squad.
Dzeko scored eight goals in 31 appearances for Roma in Seria A last season.
