Celtic are due back into pre-season training today.
Leigh Griffiths has taken to Twitter to express his excitement about returning to Celtic training.
The Bhoys’ pre-season has just begun, with Brendan Rodgers having his first chance to asses the quality of his squad earlier today.
Celtic are likely to be put through a number of fitness drills, as they look to return the squad to peak physical condition ahead of next campaign.
And Griffiths was hoping that he would not be left too fatigued after returning to training.
New season starts today. First day back training, can't wait. Let's hope my legs are feeling the same later on.— leigh griffiths (@Leighgriff09) June 20, 2016
Rodgers is yet to witness his new Celtic team in training first-hand, so it would have been a good experience for the former Liverpool boss as he gauges the scale of his task at Parkhead.
Rodgers has taken over from Ronny Deila, as Celtic look to continue their dominance over Scottish football.
Celtic have won the last five Scottish Premiership titles, and they will be determined to keep their crown - with Rangers back in the top flight.
Celtic have also learned who they will face in the Champions League qualifying stages today - after being drawn against either Flora Tallinn or Lincoln of Gibraltar.
