Brendan Rodgers took Celtic training for the first time this morning.
Rodgers was appointed as Celtic manager last month, and he has had minimal contact with the squad.
The Bhoys only returned for pre-season earlier today, with Rodgers putting his new squad through their first training session.
The Northern Irish boss has also had a series of meetings with members of the team, and Sviatchenko has been impressed by what he has seen so far.
“It’s really exciting,” he said. “Everything is a bit new but we know what to do and so far the impression of the new management team has been excellent.”
Sviatchenko has only been at Celtic since January, but he has already made a big impression at Parkhead.
The centre-back looked assured last season, and he is expected to have a big part to play under Rodgers’ stewardship.
Sviatchenko is comfortable with the ball at his feet, which means he should adapt well to his new manager’s preferred style.
As well as returning to training today, Celtic’s players also found out who they would be facing in the Champions League qualification stages - with the Bhoys being drawn against Flora Tallinn or Lincoln of Gibraltar.
