According to the Daily Star Pep Guardiola and Jose Mourinho are set to do battle over the England star, with a price tag of £50million being suggested.

They are not the only ones interested in his services, with Barcelona also keen, although the Daily Mail reported that he had turned them down in favour of a move to Manchester City.

Everton of course, aren’t keen to lose one of their key players and will fight hard to keep him at Goodison Park this summer.

They recently appointed Ronald Koeman as their new manager and the Dutchman is hopeful that his playing experience as a central defender will convince Stones to work under him, according to the Manchester Evening News.

Koeman enjoyed a stellar playing career, turning out for the likes of Barcelona, and there is hop he can develop Stones into the world-class defender that many are anticipating he will become.

He obviously faces a fight though, with the chance to work under Pep Guardiola an attractive one for any player.
