According to The Sun, Leicester City want to sign Brighton & Hove Albion's Lewis Dunk in a £7 million move.

The report claims that the Foxes want to add another two centre-backs to their squad this summer and have identified Dunk as an ideal candidate for the long term.

Leicester shocked everyone by winning the Premier League title last season, and centre-backs Wes Morgan and Robert Huth played a vital part in Claudio Ranieri’s side’s success.

With the duo in their thirties and set to play even more football with the Champions League this coming season, a new addition at the back has been identified as a priority.

Dunk, a Brighton academy graduate and later club captain, was a key member of the Seagulls’ automatic promotion charge last season as he played in 39 Championship games, scoring four goals in the process.

The defender is solid in the tackle, brilliant in the air and huge presence at set-pieces in both boxes.

The report claims that fellow Premier League clubs West Bromwich Albion and Crystal Palace are also keen on his services, but t it is Leicester who are seemingly pushing to the front of the queue.

The East Midlands side will no doubt be an attractive proposition for the defender, although Brighton are unlikely to want to sell him for cheap and could even hold out for an eight-figure fee.
