According to The Guardian, Arsenal have joined the race for Lille playmaker Sofiane Boufal, with interest from Chelsea, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur also noted.
Another attacking midfielder may be targeted despite Wenger already having the likes of Alexis Sanchez, Mesut Ozil, Aaron Ramsey, Theo Walcott and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain at his disposal.
Now, The Guardian report that the Gunners are considering a swoop on French side Lille as they pursue a move for playmaker Sofiane Boufal.
The Moroccan international, 22, hit 12 goals and four assists in all competitions this past season, becoming one of the stars of French football with a host of fine displays.
Capable of playing out wide or as a central attacking midfielder, Boufal is a skillful playmaker who is allegedly valued at €25m (£19.6m), with Lille seemingly resigned to losing their star man this summer.
However, Arsenal aren't the only team in the race. It's claimed that Chelsea are also keen, as are Atletico Madrid and Barcelona whilst Liverpool and Tottenham have registered an interest previously, but have yet to make a concrete move.
A North London battle for Boufal's signature could ensue this summer, given that both clubs are keen to add attacking talent - but so far, it's the Gunners seemingly most likely to land the former Angers man.
