Everton finally confirmed this week that Southampton manager Ronald Koeman had completed his move to Goodison Park.

The Blues moved to secure their Dutchman after sacking Roberto Martinez last season, and after protracted negotiation with the Saints, finally got their man.

The south east club must now begin the search for their next manager, having once again had a boss poached by a Premier League rival.

A number of names have already been linked with the position, as is often the case when a Premier League job, and a good one at that, becomes available.

With odds compiled by Oddschecker, here are the latest favourites for the position, featuring some surprise names to say the least.

Manuel Pellegrini: Currently the odds on favourite for the position. He left Manchester City at the end of last season but is keen to remain in England. Has also been linked with AC Milan and was interviewed for the Everton job.

Claude Puel: A surprise contender, the former Lyon boss is the second favourite on the list. He is ranked at 7/2, but a report earlier this week claimed he was being considered.

Rudi Garcia: Was considered the favourite for the position just days ago, but has drifted out to third on the list at this moment in time.

Frank de Boer: Currently at 8/1, De Boer is extremely keen to make the move to the Premier League this summer after leaving Ajax, and was another linked with the Everton job before Koeman took charge.

Eddie Howe: At 16/1 it seems unlikely the Bournemouth boss will be swapping Premier League clubs this summer. However, don’t rule it out just yet as he may be tempted to change his mind, just as Koeman was.
