The report claims that the Potters are in talks with the player over a potential £15 million switch yet West Brom owner Jeremy Peace is still playing a firm hand, demanding a figure closer to £20 million.
Berahino hit the headlines during the Baggies 2014/15 campaign as he lead the club’s goal scoring charts and prompted numerous bids from Tottenham Hotspur 12 months ago.
However, despite a switch to Spurs being highly mooted at the time, West Brom refused to cave in and managed to keep hold of the player for the ensuing campaign.
As a result, Berahino took time to make an impact this past season and managed a disappointing four league goals over the course of the Premier League campaign.
That said, the player still boasts plenty of quality and at 22 he has huge potential, a factor which has prompted heavy Stoke interest though Mark Hughes’ side aren’t the only club in for his signature.
With Berahino’s contract set to expire in 12 months time, West Brom will seemingly sell him this summer though only on their terms as Tony Pulis plans to use the cash to strengthen his squad.
