Yet another team are being mentioned as a possible location for Aston Villa left-back Jordan Amavi. The Frenchman is expected to leave the club this summer after their relegation to the Championship and has been linked with a host of teams.

One such team is Bastia – according to reports today.

Made In Foot is reporting that Bastia are set to make an ambitious move to bring the French talent in on loan for next season.

The Corsican club finished Ligue 1 in 10th position last term but have their eye on making it into Europe next term – with Amavi clearly one of the targets they hope could take them there.

However, it would appear unlikely that Villa would be interested in sending him out on loan.

According to a report in the Birmingham Mail, Aston Villa are hoping to keep hold of Jordan Amavi, despite being relegated to the Championship.

If they do sell however the Claret and Blues want at least £9 million for the 22-year-old – so a loan move would appear unlikely.

Amavi was one of Villa’s best performers over the opening months of this past campaign, but he has been ruled out since November with injury.

The French full-back ruptured his cruciate ligament, meaning he was powerless as Villa slumped to relegation.
