Jamie Vardy celebrates after scoring the third goal for Leicester City
Arsenal made a move for the Leicester City star before the start of Euro 2016, activating a £20 million release clause in his contract.

In an attempt to fight off the Gunners, Claudio Ranieri’s side offered him a brand new deal that would see his wages rise to £100,000 per week at the Kingpower Stadium.
Both clubs will both have to wait for his decision though as he has decided to wait until the end of Euro 2016 before deciding on his future.
Leicester chief Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha however, has said he is confident their star man will stay at the Premier League champions.
“You will see the news very soon, but I think he will stay,” he told the Daily Mail.
“I think, so let’s see. We need to build the team. We keep continuing to believe that we can do something special in the Premier League and the Champions League.”

It would certainly be unsurprising should Vardy decide to turn down Arsenal and stay with Leicester City this summer.
He has enjoyed great success with the Foxes so far, playing a key role in their title success and could be tempted by the chance to play for them in the Champions League next season.
