Quoted by talkSPORT, Jamie Vardy has said that it has been easy to shut out talk of a transfer to Arsenal.

Arsenal made a move for the Leicester City striker before the beginning of Euro 2016, activating at £20million release clause in his contract.

As a counter measure, the Foxes made him an improved contract offer that would see his wages rise to £100,000 per week, in an attempt to keep him at the Kingpower Stadium.

So far it is unknown what decision he will make, having insisted he will wait until the end of the tournament in France to choose.

There is every chance that the speculation could distract him but he insists he has found it easy to ignore any transfer talk.

"It's been easy [to shut that out]," talkSPORT quotes him as saying.

"I'm here to concentrate and focus on England and that's all I'm going to be doing and now we'll just get back on that training field and focus on the next match."

It will certainly be interesting to see what decision that Vardy ends up making this summer.

There is no denying that a move to Arsenal will surely be tempting given an offer from another so called big club is unlikely to come in future.

At the same time, he may fancy staying at Leicester City to continue their incredible journey in the Champions League next season.
