Spain's David Silva in action with Turkey's Caner Erkin
Manchester City midfielder David Silva has taken to Twitter to react to Spain’s comfortable win over Turkey on Friday.
The reigning European champions were at their best as they took on Turkey, scoring three easy goals to seal their progression to the knockout stages with a game to spare.
Juventus forward Alvaro Morata, heavily linked with a move to the Premier League this summer, opened the scoring as he glanced home a header.
Spain were soon two goals ahead as a mistake in the defence saw Cesc Fabregas’ ball find it’s way to Celta Vigo forward Nolito, who managed to turn the ball into the bottom corner on the volley.
Morata then added his second, and Spain’s third in the second half as a superb passing move saw Jordi Alba square the ball to the striker for an easy tap in.
Replays showed he was narrowly offside, but it made little difference in a more than comfortable win for Vincente del Bosque’s side.
As is the norm, several players reacted on Twitter to the result, and among them was Manchester City star David Silva.
"Great team! Very happy after with this victory and securing qualification. Continue working @sefutbol!" wrote Iniesta.
