The Portugal star has been told he can leave Benfica.
The Portuguese forward of course spent the 2015-16 season on loan at the City Ground and impressed at the club – despite having his season cut short by a groin injury in March.

He scored just nine goals in 29 appearances but put in some excellent performances and looked to have plenty more to give at the club. Now Benfica are looking to cash in on the player.

He spent last season on loan at the club and former manager Dougie Freedman always maintained that there was no scope to make the deal permanent in the summer.
But with a new sporting director from Portugal and the transfer embargo at Forest now lifted there is surely some chance of bringing him in permanently – even if he does cost Forest a fair amount of money.

It will of course depend on what their new manager thinks but the player, who has previously spent time on loan at Swansea City, is bound to have plenty of options and Forest must make sure they are in the race.
