Leeds United fans have taken to social networking site Twitter to give their reaction to speculation linking the club with a move for Sebastian Larsson in the summer transfer window.

Larsson has been on the books of Sunderland since 2011 and has a contract with the Premier League outfit until June 2017, according to Transfermarkt.co.uk.

The Chronicle cites reports claiming that new Leeds head coach Garry Monk wants to sign the 31-year-old midfielder from the Black Cats this summer.

According to The Chronicle, Larsson is deemed surplus to requirements at the Premier League club after struggling for playing time last season.

The Sweden international suffered with injury problems during the 2015-16 campaign and could make just 18 Premier League appearances for the Black Cats.

The former Birmingham City midfielder created seven chances, had a pass accuracy of 75% and a shot accuracy of 33%, and won six headers, four dribbles and seven tackles.
