Chelsea are set to join the bidding for Egyptian prospect Ramadan Sohby, according to Bleacher Report UK.
Fellow Premier League side Stoke City had been looking to usurp a host of clubs by concluding a quick fire deal for the Al-Ahly superstar.
However, a host of agents battling behind the scenes has seen Stoke's bid falter and now Chelsea are ready to come in, and it is understood that they have instructed their own agents to get the deal done.
The 19-year-old is in the sights of the Blues, who would look to loan him out - and Vitesse Arnhem have already told Chelsea they would take him, after he was linked with their Dutch rivals Ajax.
However, Stoke could yet end up with Sobhy - for one season at least, due to their good relationship - which has previously seen the likes of Victor Moses and Marco van Ginkel move to the club.
