Barnsley manager Paul Heckingbottom has told Deadline News that the club have made a bid for Walsall striker Tom Bradshaw.

Bradshaw has been on the books of Walsall since 2014 and has a contract with the League One outfit until June 2017, according to Transfermarkt.co.uk.

“We’re looking at a lot of players for next season, but Tom and George Moncur are two players we’ve put bids in for,” Heckingbottom told Deadline News.

According to The Express & Star, Walsall are looking for a transfer fee closer to closer to £1 million to sell Bradshaw.

The Express & Star claims that Glasgow Rangers, Birmingham City and Preston North End are also interested in signing the Wales international striker in the summer transfer window.

Deadline News credit Reading with an interest in the former Aberystwyth Town and Shrewsbury Town man.

The 23-year-old is a very good striker and was in good form for Walsall during the 2015-16 campaign.

The Wales international’s goals helped the Saddlers finish in the League One playoffs last season.

Bradshaw would be a good signing for Rangers, who won the Scottish Championship title last season and will feature in the Scottish Premiership during the 2016-17 campaign.

Mark Warburton’s side will be aiming to compete for the Scottish Premiership title with Old Firm rivals Celtic next season.
