Speaking to the club’s official website, Celtic legend Bertie Auld has predicted that Brendan Rodgers will bring entertainment to Celtic next season.

The former Liverpool manager was named as the new Hoops boss last month following the departure of Ronny Deila.

His capture has been considered a major coup for the Scottish champions, who are believed to have fought off Premier League interest for his services.

They are hoping he can bring the attractive style of football that he implemented at Swansea and Liverpool to such success in the past. And Auld says he will bring the factor that every Celtic supporter wants to see; entertainment.

“He’ll bring the thing that every Celtic supporter wants and that’s entertainment,” he told celticfc.net.

“That’s what we’ve been brought up with. Every player that signs for Celtic has to have ability, the ability to entertain, and that’s what Brendan will bring.”

If Rodgers is to bring that entertainment factor that Auld is anticipating, then he will need to be busy in the summer transfer window.

There have already been several exits, with Carlton Cole and Anthony Stokes both departing as the manager reshapes his squad.

A new striker will be needed as a result, and Celtic fans will be hoping that Rodgers can attract a big name after a few disappointing years of spending small in the transfer market.
