Speaking to the club’s official website Arsenal youngster Alex Iwobi has named his best and worst performances for the club.

The youngster was a breakout star at the club last season, having been handed a spot in the first team squad after impressing in the club’s youth ranks.

He was then given a surprise starting role in a Champions League clash with Barcelona, putting in a highly impressive display at the Nou Camp despite his side’s defeat.

And when asked to name his best performance in an Arsenal shirt last season, the youngster was quick to name the clash with the La Liga champions.

“In my opinion my best performance was against Barcelona because I think they are the best team in the world,” he told arsenalfc.com.

“For such a young player to play in a game like that gave me a lot of confidence. You can't get any bigger than that - Barcelona away.”

At the other end of the scale, Iwobi says that his performance in the draw with West Ham United was his most disappointing display.

In a scintillating London derby at Upton Park, the two sides played out a 3-3 draw as Andy Carroll grabbed a hattrick in one of the best games of the season.

For many it was a game that Iwobi performed well in, but he doesn’t agree with that, saying he was very disappointed with his performance and felt at fault for the goals his side conceded.

“To be fair I'd say the West Ham game. Everyone told me I did well, and I got two assists, but I gave the ball away twice which led to goals,” he added.

“I was very disappointed with it because I felt it cost us on the day in an important game.”
