Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka was once again in fine form as Switzerland played out a 1-1 draw with Romania on Wednesday afternoon.

The two sides met in the second round of Euro 2016 fixtures, with the Swiss looking to secure another victory following their opening game win over Albania.

It did not turn out that way though as they had to battle back from a goal down to secure a share of the points.

Arsenal fans were keen to see how new man Granit Xhaka would fare, especially given his fine performance in that victory over the Albanians.

They will have once again been impressed by what they saw as he posted a number of impressive stats, shown by WhoScored.

He managed 119 touches in the game, the most of any Switzerland player in the game, with just one of those proving to be unsuccessful.

Defensively he was a rock, posting two tackles, two interceptions and one clearance throughout to limit Romania to just the one goal in the game.

His passing was also superb as he enjoyed 107 accurate passes in total and three key passes, again the most of any Swiss player, as well as 87% passing accuracy.

Another impressive display from Xhaka then, whose performances will have Arsenal fans excited to see him in their colours next season.
