The Ibrox outfit have not included Joey Barton in their trip to USA.
The 33-year-old midfielder joined the Gers on a Bosman in May after helping Burnley win Premier League promotion last season.
But it seems like the former Newcastle United man will have to wait a little longer to make his first appearance for the club.
The Sun have reported that Rangers - who leave for South Carolina on June 26 and return on July 8 - have given Barton an extended break following his exertions in the Championship with the Clarets last term.
That being said, the report goes on to suggest that he would not have been guaranteed entry to the USA as a result of his criminal record, having been turned away during a trip with Newcastle during his time on Tyneside.
Will he be sharp and fit enough to feature in Rangers' first Premiership game back following a four-year absence? He and every fan out there will hope so.
Barton has a big season ahead. He has been hugely vocal over certains subjects in recent days and the Englishman must now talk the talk following his verbal sparring.
