West Ham United signed Sofiane Feghouli from Valencia earlier this week.
Feghouli joined the Hammers on a free transfer, after his contract at Valencia expired.
The Algerian international had plenty of other options, but he decided to pen a three-year deal at the Olympic Stadium.
And Spanish football expert Balague has stated that he believes Feghouli could be a great addition to Slaven Bilic’s squad.
“His signing is a sign that West Ham don’t just want strong and physical players, but also technical players of the highest quality,” Balague said.
“Sofiane is able to make the difference in games and that can be so important for a team. I think that if he can maintain consistency, he will become a great signing for the club.”
Feghouli made 31 appearances for Valencia last season, and scored on four occasions.
He has previously caught the eye in La Liga through his desire and work-rate.
Feghouli’s arrival at West Ham is expected to be one of many additions that the London club makes this summer.
Bilic has been handed masses of funds, and the Hammers are determined to strengthen their squad to ensure that they continue to push on after last season’s seventh placed finish.
