Gary Lineker has take to Twitter to react to England’s last gasp win over Wales on Thursday afternoon.

England left it late to secure their first victory of Euro 2016 as Daniel Sturridge scored in the dying minutes to seal a 2-1 win.

They had found themselves 1-0 down at half time as a long range Gareth Bale free kick somehow found its way past goalkeeper Joe Hart.

Roy Hodgson reacted at half time, bringing on strikers Daniel Sturridge and Jamie Vardy to try and turn the game in England’s favour.

It proved to be a smart move, with the Leicester City striker grabbing the equaliser and then Sturridge striking late to secure all three points and a win over their fierce rivals.

Lineker was naturally delighted with the result, but was keen to praise Hodgson for making the changes at half time.

He was not the only to react in that manner either, as the likes of David James and Robbie Savage also praised the England boss.

England’s attention now turns to their final group game against Slovakia as they look to seal progression to the knockout stages.

Where they finish in the group is very much in their hands, with a victory guaranteeing them first place and a better draw in the next round.
