West Ham United fans would happily take Saido Berahino off West Bromwich Albion, it seems.

Speculation from The Mirror has mounted that West Brom are prepared to include Saido Berahino in a swap deal for West Ham United striker Diafra Sakho.

The Hammers hitman has been strongly linked with a move to Sunderland, Sam Allardyce having signed him for West Ham two years ago, but their two bids have fallen short of the London club's £15 million valuation, it has been reported.

The impasse has seemingly opened the door for the Baggies to get involved and, according to The Mirror, Albion boss Tony Pulis is ready to swap Berahino for the 26-year-old marksman.

Some West Ham fans seemingly know a good deal when they see one, but others have reacted negatively to the rumour on Twitter.

Berahino, 22, endured a trying 2015-16 campaign, netting just four times in 31 appearances after his prospective move to Tottenham Hotspur collapsed toward the end of the summer transfer window.

Sakho, meanwhile, scored five in 18 Premier League appearances for West Ham, but there is a sense that he needs a fresh start somewhere. It does not appear as if Irons boss Slaven Bilic has long-term plans for the Senegalese.
