According to the Daily Mail, Stoke City have expressed an interest in signing Adam Ounas.
The report claims that the Potters are looking to strengthen their squad this summer and have identified West Bromwich Albion’s Saido Berahino and Bordeaux’s Adam Ounas as options.
The Potters finished ninth in the Premier League for the third successive time this past season, yet many supporters were left a little frustrated by their dip in form in the latter stages of the campaign.
Boss Mark Hughes will be intent on bridging the gap between themselves and the challengers for the European spots, though at the same time he will be looking at building for the future.
Both Berahino and Ounas aren’t the finished article yet, and both players represent signings for the future.
Ounas, 19, only made his breakthrough 12 months ago as he ended up making 19 Ligue 1 appearances for Bordeaux this past season, scoring five goals from wide areas.

He has been likened to Leicester City ace Riyad Mahrez due to his pace, directness and Algerian roots.
His current contract in France expires in 2019 following an extension last December, though that shouldn’t put teams off as the latest financial edge allows English teams to snap up Europe’s top youngsters.
Stoke already have plenty of options in wide areas, though where they perhaps lack is having a player with raw pace and the directness to attack the space such as Leicester’s Mahrez.
