Manchester United fans got a look at potential signing Andre Gomes in action as he started for Portugal in their Euro 2016 opener.

Spanish newspaper Marca reported this week that Valencia want 65 million Euros (£52 million) if they are to sell.
It is a lot of money, but Gomes could potentially be the long term replacement for Michael Carrick, who has just extended his contract by another year.
He is also represented by 'super agent' Jorge Mendes, who also represents Jose Mourinho.

Last night Gomes was left frustrated as Portugal could only draw 1-1 with tournament minnows Iceland, with former United winger Nani on the scoresheet.
Gomes played 83 minutes, and was Portugal's most creative player, making five key passes. Unfortunately for him, Cristiano Ronaldo was wasteful, landing only one of 10 shots on target.

Gomes completed 84 per cent of his passes and made two tackles and three interceptions, the latter being the most in the Portugal team.
