Glasgow Rangers new boy Joey Barton has praised Antonio Conte for masterminding Italy’s win over Belgium on Monday evening.

Italy ran out 2-0 winners over Belgium, and they are arguably the standout team to play at the international tournament so far.

Rangers midfielder Barton felt that Conte’s tactics were the main reason behind Italy’s victory.

Barton’s words should go down well with Chelsea fans, as Conte is due to take charge at Stamford Bridge next season.

Burnley's Joey Barton

Conte has been tasked with helping Chelsea climb back up the Premier League table and into title contention.

Barton, meanwhile, has only just moved to Rangers and he is likely to be key as Mark Warburton’s side aim to compete back in the Scottish Premiership.

Barton has been the Ibrox side’s marquee addition of the summer transfer window so far.
