Arsenal midfielder Santi Cazorla has taken to Twitter to congratulate Manchester City star David Silva on his 100th cap for Spain.

Silva is currently at Euro 2016 with Spain, starting in their opening clash with the Czech Republic on Monday.

That game was his 100th cap for his country, and he marked it in special style as they began their Euro 2016 campaign with a victory.

100 appearances for Vincente del Bosque’s side is no mean feat for the Manchester City man, especially considering the wealth of midfield talent that Spain have had at their disposal over the years.

And Cazorla praised his Premier League rival in his message to the Arsenal midfielder on Twitter.

“I want to congratulate the master ‪@21LVA x its 100 games with the ‪@SeFutbol you deserve it Pony, keeps giving us evenings of magic. A hug my friend,” he wrote on Twitter.

Silva will now be hoping to add more caps to his collection in a successful Euro 2016 campaign this summer.

Not many fancy the defending champions in France, but they were in fine form in the win over Czech Republic in their opening game.

If they can continue in that creative vein, and add the clinical finishing they need in front of goal, then there is every chance they can be successful once again.
