Ronald Koeman has expressed his delight on social media site Twitter after becoming the new Everton boss.
Koeman officially completed a move from Southampton to Everton earlier this morning, after weeks of speculation over his future at St. Mary's.
The Dutchman has been Everton’s top target ever since they parted company with Roberto Martinez, but it took a lengthy period of time before the 53-year-old would agree to a switch.
Koeman initially denied that he would be interested in a move to Everton, and stated that he was set to stay with Southampton.
However, the promise of having a reported £100 million transfer budget with the Toffees was enough to persuade Koeman to make the move to Merseyside.
Koeman’s remit will be to help Everton to start qualifying for Europe through their Premier League finishes, and he has quickly taken to social media to show how excited he is about the challenge ahead.
Everton finished in 11th place in the Premier League table last season, while Koeman led Southampton into sixth position.
