With question marks over the future of star forward Sadio Mane, another winger should be on Southampton's wish list, and it seems that they are close to signing one.

The Mirror report that, after holding advanced talks with Norwich City, the Saints are on the verge of completing a deal to sign winger Nathan Redmond.

Redmond, 22, hit six goals and three assists last season, and despite flashing ability out wide, manager Alex Neil bizarrely chose to keep the winger on the sidelines for spells, as the winger made just 24 starts.

The former Birmingham City man - and an England Under-21 international - has attracted Premier League interest thanks to his pace down the flanks, and with Norwich suffering relegation, he now looks set to leave Carrow Road.

The Mirror report that an £11m deal is on the verge of being completed, and a medical has already been scheduled for Redmond to undergo once he gets back from his holiday, handing Southampton's new manager a new signing - whoever that new manager may be.
