According to a report in the Yorkshire Evening Post, Leeds United are considering going on tour of Scotland or Ireland over pre-season.

Leeds are yet to confirm their plans for the build up to next campaign, due to the late arrival of Garry Monk as manager.

Monk is now considering two possible destinations to take his squad, to ensure that they are fully prepared for next campaign.

The former Swansea boss is said to have turned down the opportunity to take Leeds on tour of the United States, and he is keen to keep his team closer to home.

Leeds are now weighing up whether to go to Scotland or to Ireland.

Leeds’ pre-season schedule is still largely unknown, with first-team friendlies needing to be arranged quickly.

Bridlington Town have confirmed they will play a pre-season fixture against Leeds, but the Whites will want to arrange tougher tests too to throughly examine their squad.

Last season, Leeds went on a pre-season tour of Austria and were backed by large numbers.
