HITC Sport understands West Ham are considering selling defender with Stoke and West Brom making contact regarding Tomkins.

Premier League duo Stoke City and West Bromwich Albion have both made enquiries to West Ham United over James Tomkins, HITC Sport understands.

The 27-year-old only signed a new five-year deal last summer, but it remains to be seen whether he can command a first-team starting role under Slaven Bilic.

Bilic is understood to see Tomkins as an important squad player. but does not see him as one of his first choice central defenders going forward.

Now West Ham product Tomkins is considering his options, with a host of Premier League clubs ready to battle for his signature.

HITC Sport can confirm that Stoke and West Brom have made contact with the Hammers, whilst there is also interest from Crystal Palace, Sunderland and Southampton.

A source confirmed to HITC Sport: "Tomkins is valued but maybe not enough for the players liking, he has a big decision coming up this summer."

Essex-born Tomkins made his West Ham debut back in 2008 and has clocked up over 200 appearances for the club since then.
