Everton have announced the appointment of Ronald Koeman as manager.
The Dutch manager quit his role with Southampton to take the reins at Goodison Park, where he replaces Roberto Martinez following the Spaniard's sacking last month.
The announcement brings to an end quite a lot of speculation over the 53-year-old's future which both Everton and Southampton will be happy to draw a line under finally.
The same cannot be said about both fanbases.
The Saints supporters may understandably feel a little bitter about the whole thing, but one man's loss is another man's gain and those on the blue half of Merseyside seem delighted with Koeman.

Ronald Koeman?!?!? This is completely out of the blue. Didn't see this coming at all.— Tom Barr (@TomShreds) June 14, 2016
Good Luck Ron. Long may he reign.#EFC
The 53-year-old's first job at Goodison Park is surely to try and convince some of the club's prized assets to stay.
Striker Romelu Lukaku, who netted 25 times this past season, has previously revealed he wanted to leave (Sky Sports) but Koeman may have an easier time persuading Ross Barkley and John Stones to play for him next season.
It is not a hard sell. According to The Mirror, Koeman might have a £100 million transfer kitty this summer, which is exciting for Everton fans and players.
