Former Liverpool striker Stan Collymore has predicted in The Mirror that Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Dele Alli can be as good Paul Pogba in the coming years.
Pogba is on the books of Italian giants Juventus at the moment, having started his professional club football career at Premier League giants Manchester United.
The France international midfielder is one of the best players on the planet and is a world-class talent.
Pogba is still only 23 years of age, and his performances and progress at Juventus over the past four years indicate that he could establish himself as the best footballer in the world in the future.
Collymore believes that Tottenham midfielder Alli can become as good as Pogba in the coming years.
“I've made no secret of the fact Alli has been my favourite player of the past season,” Collymore wrote in The Mirror.
“France's Paul Pogba is being touted as an £80million player, is tipped to be the star of this tournament, but Alli can be his equal with ease in years to come.”
Alli is 20 years of age and is arguably the best young player in the Premier League at the moment.
The former Milton Keynes Dons midfielder had a great 2015-16 campaign and is a key player for England at the ongoing Euro 2016 finals in France.
The Tottenham midfielder is a big talent, and he can certainly establish himself as one of the best footballers on the planet in the coming years.
