Mooy’s stock has rise since, and it has now been reported that Premier League giants Manchester City are interested in signing the Australia international midfielder.
According to The Daily Star, City will sign the 25-year-old midfielder in the summer transfer window and will loan him out to a club in Belgium for the 2016-17 campaign.
If City do sign the former Western Sydney Wanderers star and are willing to loan him out, then Leeds should make a move and it could work out well for all parties involved.
Garry Monk's side would be getting a quality midfielder without paying any transfer fee, and City would get to see closely how good he is.
The Championship is a very tough and competitive league, and the rigorous nature of the division would prepare Mooy for the Premier League.
