Norwich City forward Kyle Lafferty has taken to social networking site Twitter to give his reaction to Northern Ireland’s defeat to Poland on Sunday.

Northern Ireland kicked off their Euro 2016 campaign with a 1-0 loss to Poland in Group C.

Arkadiusz Milik’s goal in the 51st minute proved to be the difference between the two sides at the Allianz Riviera in Nice on Sunday.

Lafferty has taken to Twitter to express his disappointment at his side’s defeat, and so has Northern Ireland and Southampton midfielder Steven Davis.

Over the course of the 90 minutes at the Allianz Riviera in Nice on Sunday, Northern Ireland had just 35% of the possession, took two shots of which none was on target, and earned one corner.

Poland had 65% of the possession, took 18 shots of which just four were on target, and earned eight corners.

Northern Ireland will return to action on Thursday when they take on Ukraine at Parc Olympique Lyonnais in Lyon.

Germany are at the top of Group C at the moment with three points, with Poland level on points but behind on goal difference.
